PLAYERS WITH SCHEDULE CONFLICTS:
Players entering the tournament must play according to our schedule and need to leave both weekends available when entering; we do not guarantee allowances for time  problems.

RESTRICTIONS:
NO SPLIT DIVISIONS: Players are limited to two events in the SAME DIVISION (exception: 35 Men’s Doubles CAN PLAY IN THE 6.0 OR 6.5 DIVISION). Except for Open Divisions & NTRP 6.0 - 5.0, past winners of  Adoption Guild are not eligible to play the same event and the same division the following year with the same  partner. Winners from 2009 (4.5 & below) may defend their title only if they play with a different partner.  Otherwise, the winning team must move up to the next level of play.  Each event must have a minimum of 8  teams or the event may be cancelled.  Entry fee will be refunded.

RATINGS:
Players cannot play below their USTA NTRP rating.  If a player does not have a USTA rating, then they must play at or above their club rating.  All ratings are subject to verification!  Non-disclosure or false information  regarding a player’s rating will result in disqualification and forfeiture of entry fee at any time during the  tournament.  The rating Committee reserves the right to reclassify or disqualify any player or team, regardless of  their club rating, or self NTRP rating if determined to be overqualified for the division they enter (even during the tournament).  Classification of the stronger player will determine the classification of a doubles team.

Players can participate in a higher NTRP category (according to their rating), but they cannot play below their NTRP or club rating identified by  their club pro or appropriate staff.

PLAYER SUBSTITUTIONS:
Players must designate their partner on the entry form.  Any changes after the entries close must be MADE IN WRITING and submitted to the tournament director prior to the seeding committee meeting on Tuesday, May 18th.  Players substitutions after May 18th may not be accepted into the tournament due to the potential of invalidating the seeds.  Should you have to change your partner after this date contact the tournament director or tournament chair ASAP.  Once the draws are posted, any substitutions will need written authorization from the TD or TC (a default will be issued otherwise).  If this occurs on the day of the tournament please give yourself ample time to address this situation in person at Newport Beach Tennis Club prior to your first round match.
